I realize it's only November, but Christmas will be here sooner than we think! Besides, with the free shipping code ending soon on Americangirl.com, I felt the need to get this post done soon.
I've fallen in love with a doll. I'm not trying to be greedy. I know I already have my Ruthie doll, and I love her to pieces! :) But as soon as I saw the Anniversary Edition Cecile, I knew that someday, I wanted her to be mine.
Isn't she beautiful? I love her warm brown skin, pretty curls, and amazing dress! I think she and Ruthie would be really good friends! :)
And while I'm dreaming, I might as well finish my wish. A lot of you know how fun it is to dress like your doll, right? So imagine my excitement when I was browsing through the website and saw this dress in my size:
I probably wouldn't look as pretty as Cecile, but the green ribbons and the green trim on the dress would match my eyes! I can't even tell you how thrilled I would be on Christmas morning if these things were waiting for me. :D
Okay, I've gotten it out of my system. I don't expect to get either of these things. Mama has already warned us that our Christmas gifts will be small this year. And we have Hayden here with us, which is better than any Christmas gift. I know I'll survive, even if I don't get my wish. But I just wanted to get it out there, to share with someone who wouldn't feel bad that she couldn't get it for me.
Meanwhile, Tess and I have already been discussing Christmas plans and how we're going to do things. All of us dolls LOVE Christmas...we can't wait until it's here! Thanksgiving is special too, but there's something almost magical about Christmas. A doll never feels more alive than on Christmas morning. And of course, it's such an important holiday, celebrating the day our Lord came to the earth as a tiny baby. :)
What are your Christmas wishes?

Hi, Emma. :) I completely agree...Anniversary Cecile is so lovely! I love would have to agree with your statement about a doll feeling so alive on Christmas - celebrating the Lord's arrival on earth as a baby is such a wonderful thing! :)
This year, my Christmas wish is for Lucy to come home - we've waited so long for her and I really hope she can come celebrate the Lord's arrival with us. :)
Have a great weekend!
Mia
Hi Mia. :) Thanks for commenting.
I love your Christmas wish! I hope that Lucy gets to be with you soon. There's nothing like celebrating Jesus' birthday together. :)
Emma
Hi Emma! Did you know you can find those dolls at Barnes and Noble too? It would be great if you could get one of their 30% off coupons too!
Hello Emma!
Mini Anniversary Cecile is on my wishlist, too. (: Isn't she such a cutie?
Felicity wants a coral necklace to replace the one that got lost for Christmas. She knows it's hard to come by though, so like you, she's not being pushy about it, but I do wish it would show up under the tree for her! (:
I hope you and your sisters all have a lovely Christmas! Christmas morning is truly magical no matter if you're doll or human! (:
Alice
Cecile is a very lovely doll. Plus her dress is absolutely beautiful! That might just go on my wishlist. ;)
But I wouldn't take that over getting my best friend out of the hospital. She was sent yesterday and I miss her to pieces! She's getting her eye replaced because she lost her eyelash. Mom says she'll get here right before Christmas. But even I can tell there's a chance of that not happening.
It would be great to have her here to celebrate the Lord Jesus's birth! I hope your wish comes true! :)
Ivy Ling :)
Hi Anonymous. Mama told me she saw the mini dolls at Barnes and Noble, although they only had Cecile in her blue dress. That one is very pretty too, but I must confess that her red dress is my favorite. :} I'd settle for a regular Cecile, though...especially if she didn't cost as much. :)
Hi Alice! Thanks for commenting. I hope Felicity gets her coral necklace! That would be a great Christmas surprise. :)
It's nice to know that Christmas is magical for you humans, too. :)
Emma
Hi Ivy! Thanks for your comment. :) I hope your best friend is able to be home in time for Christmas! That's an even more important wish than mine. :)
Emma
Salut, Emma!
My friend Lilly approves of your list- she wants the exact same dress for herself. It is a lovely dress, but as a redhead, I can't say red is my color.
You inspired my latest blog post. It's always fun to share our Christmas lists with our readers.
Bises,
Sabine
Hi Sabine, it's great to hear from you. Thanks for commenting. :)
I don't know, I think you could pull off a dress like that, but I'm sure you're a better judge of fashion than I am. ;)
I'm honored that you thought of a post after reading mine. :} I'll have to head over and read your post now!
Emma
Hi Emma. This is Summer. :-)
The little Cecile doll is adorable - I especially like the holiday one - and I think you'd look great in the dress!
I understand the tight money situation, though. Our family is in the same boat this year. I hope somehow you get your wish!
For Christmas I'm hoping I get the Cozy Sweater Set from AG. It looks so warm and comfortable!
Love,
Summer
P.S. Some people think I look like Cecile, but I don't think I do that much except for having curls. She's really pretty, though!
Hi Summer, it's good to hear from you. :)
I don't know if I will get my wish, but it's really okay. Sometimes it's just fun to dream. ;)
I hope you get your Cozy Sweater Set! I love that outfit, too. :)
Emma
P.S. I can understand how people would see a few similarites between you and Cecile, but I don't think you look exactly alike. You're both very pretty, though. :) I LOVE your curls, btw. I really wish my hair would curl like that! :{
Thanks, Emma! :-)
I appreciate the compliment about my curls, but I think your hair is very pretty, too. Life would be boring if we all looked the same.
Love,
Summer
I suppose that's true. :) Thanks, and have a great week!
Emma
