The second day we were at Mimi's, Ruthie and Piper decided to make some gingerbread cookies, since Mama's little girls were making some too.
Don't you just love their adorable aprons? Grandmama found them on eBay. :)
We didn't get pictures of the entire process, but here's Ruthie rolling out the dough. Mimi didn't have a doll-sized rolling pin, so she had to make do with a thick dowel rod.
Here are the cookies, all ready to go in the oven!
And here are the proud chefs! ;)
When the cookies were finished baking, the girls frosted them and put them on this mini cake stand.
I think they did a great job, don't you?
We were pretty lazy for the rest of the day. It was great to just relax and visit with the others. It's been a while since we've seen Piper and Ruthie, so it was wonderful to catch up. I also really enjoyed getting to know Kailani and Janie better. We all laughed about how much Janie and Charlie look like each other. I'd forgotten that. :)
That night (which was Friday, the night before Christmas Eve), Hayden, Charlie and I decided to take a walk. We'd heard that there were some great Christmas lights up around the neighborhood. It was just the three of us because Piper and Kailani had some last-minute wrapping to do, and Ruthie and Janie didn't want to get too cold.
Hayden was really excited to wear the new caplet set Mama had just gotten on eBay. She told me she felt like a peppermint drop. She's always imagining things like that. Personally, I don't really understand why you'd want to be a peppermint drop, but that's just the way she is. Charlie and I love her anyway! :)
We took several pictures by Mimi's house, since Grandpapa had put up so many pretty lights.
I love this picture of Hayden. :)
Here we are with the big light-up snowman in Mimi's front yard.
And here's the whole yard. Isn't it pretty?
It was pretty cold out there. I was wishing that I'd brought gloves with me, too!
We decided we'd taken enough pictures. We were freezing, and we needed to get started on our walk so we could warm up!
Here are some of the pictures we got of the lights around the neighborhood:
As we walked, we took turns choosing Christmas carols to sing. Quietly, of course. We didn't want to freak anyone out at the sight of 3 caroling dolls tramping down the street! ;)
Stay tuned for Part 3!

Emma,
I just wanted to tell you that I really like your posts and your (and Tess and Maggie's) blog. I also wanted to say that
Hayden looks exactly like me too!
and just to make things even weirder,my sister Jackie looks like Janie (and a little like Charlie), My best friend Emily looks a bit like Piper, and her sister Lucy looks like Kailani except her hair is short and straight but still, close enough right?
Violet :D
Tell Charlie that I said hi, and if she liked Gymnastics instead of science then our personality's (as well as are appearances, well almost!) would match perfectly! oh, and I like your blog too.
Jackie :P
P.S: sorry my sister had to bore you by telling you what half the dolls we know look like, and PPPLLEEEEEEEEAAAAAASSSSSSE tell Charlie I said hi.
Hi Violet and Jackie! Great to meet you! :) How fun that so many of you look similar to my friends and family! :)
I'll be sure to pass the message along to Charlie! :)
