I'm so distraught! I just realized that the beautiful version of "Gesu Bambino" that we found for our playlist is not working! :( I wanted to share it with all of you so very much! It's one of those songs that is so beautiful, it makes you want to cry. At least my other favorite, "Pas de Deux" from the Nutcracker, is still playing.
You've probably noticed that the Michael Buble songs aren't working, either. Maggie's pretty annoyed about that. She loves his version of "White Christmas".
Anyway, I decided that I would provide a direct link to "Gesu Bambino" on YouTube so that those of you who missed out on hearing it can still enjoy it. David Archuleta is singing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in the background. (Just in case you're curious, we do not hold to Mormon beliefs ourselves, but we do enjoy the beauty of their choir.) ;) As Maggie explained before, we don't know much about David Archuleta, and don't necessarily enjoy all of his songs, but this one is definitely one you don't want to miss! :)
So without further ado, you can view "Gesu Bambino" HERE. Enjoy!! :D
Of course, with a little more research, we realized that what we thought was a recording from a TV special was actually a recording from a DVD, which is probably why it was disabled on Mixpod. Sigh...all of this copyright stuff is so confusing.
After still more research, I found that you can buy the DVD or the CD of the entire concert on Amazon.com. I'm not as interested in the DVD myself, but I've listened to the samples on the CD and they sound wonderful! The only one I'm not sure about is the last track, with the narration by Michael York. I'd like to know what he says before deciding whether or not I want the CD. Of course, I could just try to convince Mama to buy the MP3 tracks for all of the songs and call it good. ;) Anyway, I'm inluding a link to the CD HERE, just in case any of you are interested. You can find the DVD from that page.
Goodness, this turned into a long post! All this for a little song. I hope I can convince Mama that we need the CD, or at least a few of the MP3 tracks! ;)
