Emma's Editorials: Introducing Piper Olivia! :)

Hi guys!  This technically should have been a "Breaking News with Maggie" post (in fact, she's been pretty cranky all day because I'm doing this post instead), but I begged Tess and Maggie to let me do it since it's about my sister.  Maggie wasn't too keen on the idea, but Tess managed to convince her by suggesting that Maggie do one of her official "Breaking News with Maggie" interviews with Piper later.

So for today, I'm just going to share some family pictures we took and tell you a little bit about her.  We'll save the official interview for Maggie (or she won't talk to me for the rest of the week!). ;)

Piper is sooo amazing!  The more Charlie and I learn about her, the more excited we are that she's our sister.  She loves listening to classical music, and she can play the piano and the cello.  Charlie and I were pretty impressed with that, since we've never learned to play anything.  We can sing well enough and carry a part, but we'll never be asked to sing solos. :}  We'd never even considered musical instruments.  Hmmm, maybe we should try it! :)

Her favorite colors are purple and pastel blue, and she LOVES Chococat from Sanrio.  She even has a necklace with him on it!

Let's see, I think I already mentioned that we found out Piper likes Lord of the Rings, musicals, and Bollywood.  I am soooo excited to have another Bollywood fan in the house! :D  One of her favorite movies is even the same as mine:  "Veer-Zaara"!  She also likes "Vivah", which I've never seen.  Mama said she'd rent it on Netflix so that we could try it (since she's the other Bollywood fan). :)

Her favorite musicals are "The Sound of Music", "Fiddler on the Roof", and the musical version of "The Lord of the Rings".  Maggie was over the moon when she heard that! :)

Her favorite place to go is to the ocean.  She likes the feeling of sand beneath her feet, and she likes to imagine stories about the people she sees.

She's still pretty quiet, overall.  Now that we know that's normal, though, it's not as stressful.  Piper's just one of those girls that thinks more than she talks.  She's very reserved and keeps a lot of her thoughts to herself.  She's the exact opposite of me...I can't seem to stop talking even when I want to!  You can tell that she feels things deeply, though.  And she likes to express herself through her music more than through her words.  She actually reminds me a lot of Tess, except that Tess tends to express herself through her writing instead.  That, and I think that being friends with Maggie has forced Tess out of her shell a little more.

That's really all I can think of for now.  Sorry this is just a sneak preview.  Maggie will get down to the "nitty-gritty" and get all of the details in her interview (hopefully she won't scare Piper to death).

Oh, and I almost forgot my promise to tell you about Grandmama's new doll!  She's really nice.  Her name is Janie.  She actually looks a lot like Charlie, except she has shorter hair and eyes the same color as mine instead of hazel.  Our cousin Ruthie is really happy to have a friend with her.  And the day after Janie got there, Grandmama had another visitor.  Kaya is also living at her house now.  It's getting almost as crowded over there as it is over here! :)  We love it that way, though.

I'll leave you with a few pics to tide you over until Maggie gets her interview post done.  We're really enjoying having so many new faces around. :)

Our formal family portrait.

And here we are in more comfortable attire...much better! :)

Profile shots.  Can you tell Mama was having fun?  It's a good thing she didn't take all of these pictures when Piper first came...I don't think she could have handled it!

Our beautiful sister.

Mama wanted to get some pics of each of us individually with Piper.  Here I am with her...

...and here she is with Charlie.

Piper's Chococat necklace.  Isn't he cute?

Here's a picture of Charlie with Janie.  Don't they look alike?

Piper and Janie really hit it off since they were "newbies" at the same time.  I think I see the beginning of a great friendship! :)

Bonsoir!
Piper sounds extremely cool. I cannot wait to read her interview post! Oh, you girls should definitely consider learning how to play instruments. My "friend" (or so I think she's my friend; she is somewhat asocial...) Melanie is an extremely talented pianist and flautist. She sings well, too. She is currently teaching me how to play the flute, and although it is difficult, I am loving learning it.
Your outfits are very cute, by the way.
Bises,
Sabine

P.S. Please tell Piper that I said "hi"! :)

Ooh, it's nice to meet you, Piper! We seem to share a physical resemblance. ;) Unfortunately, I cannot say that I'm as quiet as you are, though. Nope, not at all. I'm a talker like you, Emma. My twin sister, though, is pretty quiet.

Thanks so much for commenting, girls! :) Sabine, Maggie's already hard at work on the questions for her interview post, so hopefully you won't have to wait too long.

Wow, Sophie, I'd never noticed how much you and Piper look like each other! :) First Tess and Isabel, now you and Piper! How fun!!

Oh, and Piper wanted me to say "hi" back and wanted me to thank you both for your kind words. She's not really computer savvy, so she was a little nervous about trying to post a comment. ;)

Piper seems like a really cool person! :-)

(Also she has great taste in musicals!)

Thanks for the intro, and your pictures are great. We look forward to reading more about Piper and your adventures together.

Hi Spicemuffin & Co.! :) Hi Green Girls! Thanks so much for commenting.

How exciting that you'll have someone just like Janie at your place, Spicemuffin! If she's anything like Janie, you'll love her! :)

Green Girls, I agree, Piper is really cool. I'm pretty impressed with her choice of favorite musicals, myself. Although, I would have added the Broadway version of "Beauty and the Beast" to the list, personally. ;)

Piper's great! Of course, we found out since this post that we're not quite related in the way we thought. ;)

Goodness, I just realized that I didn't sign my name on my earlier comments! All of the comments by "beastsbelle" for this post were by me, Emma. ;)
