Breaking News with Maggie: The Avengers Have Assembled! ;)

This is Maggie Wilson with an important update:  RACHEL AND I FINALLY SAW "THE AVENGERS" TODAY!!!

All I can say is: Best. Movie. Ever!!!  Well, okay, it was pretty intense with a lot of action violence (I think Mama's fingers were sore from gripping the arms of her theater seat the entire time!).  And unfortunately, there was a bit of swearing and two innuendos that I caught (why do they always have to stick that stupid stuff in there?).  Because of that, I definitely wouldn't recommend it for our younger readers.  Overall though, it was AMAZING!  It was funny, inspiring, beautifully filmed...oh, and just seeing all of them together on screen and the way they reacted and played off of each other was really fun.  Papa even said that it was one he wouldn't mind watching again...as in again today!  This is big coming from him.  A movie has to really impress him to make him interested in seeing it a second time, especially on the same day! ;)

I don't have any more time to post now, but I will definitely be doing a follow-up post later with some pics of our fun day!  Oh, and good news for all of you who requested it:  Rachel has agreed to do the post with me, so you'll get to hear her thoughts on the movie, too! :D

Until then, this is Maggie Wilson, signing off.

(Hmm, I wonder if we could convince Mama and Papa to take us to see it again?) ;)

AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!
Hmm. I think I missed the language and the innuendo. Oh well. :) I'm so used to hearing the err...f-word, that I guess I'm used to it. :O Oh dear. :(
Wasn't it sad when Coulson died? I think I freaked out when Iron Man didn't wake up for a while. :)

I so want to see the movie again. But...$12 per person is kinda pricey. :)

I hope you get to see it again! It was the best movie ever.

Hi, A Spicy Muffin! There were no "f" words. I suppose many people would consider the swearing in this movie "mild". And I'm thankful they didn't make it worse than they did. I was just spoiled with some of the other movies, like Captain America, that had hardly any swearing at all. And even this one, it was probably 5 or 6 times.

It was definitely sad in some parts, and I was a bit worried about Iron Man myself (he is my favorite, after all!). But I love the way he woke up! ;)

We got a good deal on tickets...I think it was about $6 for each one. We didn't see it in 3D though, so that probably helped. :)

Hi, All AG! Yep, I was pretty excited that I finally got to see my movie! I can't wait to share more of my thoughts (and Rachel's too!) in a later post. ;)

Yes, we definitely got spoiled with Capt. America. :D Iron Man is your favorite? I can't decide between Hawkeye, Iron Man, Capt. America, and Thor. :) LOL.
You got $6 dollar tickets? My goodness! That's awesome. :)

Wow...thanks for all of the comments, everyone! ;)

Bean, Thor is Rachel's favorite, too. He's okay, but my favorites are definitely Iron Man and Captain America. Although, A Spicy Muffin, Hawkeye is pretty cool, too. ;)

Amelia, we did stay behind for the entire credits. It was definitely worth it. :)

Hi Jessie! Thanks for commenting. Wow, I think you're the first Loki fan I've heard from, although I'm sure there are more of them out there. I think my favorite part with Loki was his final showdown w/Hulk. ;)

Thanks for the comments.

Amelia, they did reveal the next villain, and I think I recognized him from the cartoon series. I guess I'll just have to wait and see, though. ;)

I agree, Spicy Girls. And we did check out your blog. It's pretty nifty.

You all are spoiling everything! ;) Just kidding; Claire's best friend saw The Avengers yesterday and told her a lot about it. :)

We still have not seen it yet and it may still be awhile before we do, but nevertheless I'm really excited! Lanie, Adrienne and I are ECSTATIC that it's finally out...we've waited a REALLY long time for this movie.

So glad to hear that you and Rachel loved it - cant wait to see your big review post! :)

Sorry, Mia...I tried to be careful in my comments. In my defense, I was not the one who mentioned someone kicking the bucket. ;)

I'm thinking the review post may have to wait until this weekend. Everything's too predictable this week with it being the end of the school year for Mama's girls. :}
